I’ve learned a lot regarding SEO and stuff, and to my surprise, several of my blog friends go to me for SEO advice. Not bad for a writer-turned-webmaster! (I didn’t have an online presence — not even Friendster nor MySpace — prior to my first blog post on December 29, 2004.) After two contests, I feel comfortable with my SEO skills, probably helped by the fact that the three of us didn’t really exert much effort optimizing our Isulong SEOPH and Ituloy AngSulong entries, and yet they still performed above expectations. Ia — the mysterious lady who goes around visiting (nay, stalking!) blogs while not keeping her own — introduced me to the world of blogging several months before December 29, 2004. At first I didn’t give crap about blogs; heck, even the word “blog” is ugly. (Mabantot na salita, in Tagalog.)
